By most reports, it has been a good summer for Liberal Leader Michael Ignatieff. In his cross-country tour, he has managed to shuck his image as a stiff academic who is out of touch with ordinary Canadians.

Team Ignatieff should maybe read Sun Tzu’s 2,000 year old treatise The Art of War, particularly the part about recognizing your enemy. “If you know yourself but not your enemy, for every victory gained, you will also suffer a defeat,” wrote the Chinese general and philosopher.
Word is that on a recent Air Canada flight from Ottawa to Toronto, the Liberal leader, his wife and his chief of staff, Peter Donolo, took up the first two rows in executive class and started flapping their gums about the political scene. Read More »
