Possibly carrying gun for an "adult" gang banger as an initiation?

They went for one boy and left with two, both now facing gun charges.
A 13-year-old boy was charged with carrying a loaded automatic handgun after police arrived at a bullet-riddled Toronto neighbourhood looking for another boy accused of shooting up a car.
It was about 6:45 p.m. on Friday that officers arrived at Jane St. and Falstaff Ave., south of Wilson Ave., to carry out a warrant in relation to a shooting.
The warrant stemmed from a May 14 call regarding the sound of gunshots at Jane and Falstaff -- an area not unlike many along the troubled Jane St. corridor that are marked by rows of subsidized highrise apartment buildings.
Shots had been fired at a vehicle, but nobody was injured, Toronto Police Staff-Sgt. Gerry Cashman said from 31 Division station yesterday.
When officers arrived back at Jane and Falstaff with the warrant, they came across a 13-year-old boy.
He was "somewhat unrelated" to the initial investigation, Det. Jason Kraft said.
NIGHT IN JAIL
Police said they found a loaded gun on that barely teenaged boy.
He was charged with carrying a concealed weapon, unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized, and possession of a prohibited firearm with ammunition.
He spent the night in jail.
"I don't know what to tell you," Cashman said. "It's pretty tragic when 13-year-old youths are running around the city ... and have handguns in their possession."
As for the 17-year-old at the centre of the shooting investigation, his charges include discharging a firearm and endangering life.
The three highrises at Jane and Falstaff are known to be territory of the Falstaff Crips.
A 17-year-old boy and 20-year-old man alleged to be members of the street gang were wanted last year in the first-ever shooting aboard a TTC subway.
An 18-year-old woman was shot in the pelvis when a fight broke out after she and a friend bumped into men aboard the downtown train in March 2008.
The pair at Jane and Falstaff on Friday are the latest teens connected to a string of recent gun-related incidents in 31 Division.
Police are still looking for the teenaged gunman who opened fire on a security guard kicking him out of The Underground bar at York University the same night that shots were fired at Jane and Falstaff.
GRAZED BY BULLET
The guard's chest was grazed by a bullet.
A week ago today, bullets flew as police responded to a call on Driftwood Court, northeast of Jane St. and Finch Ave. W. Cops believe the gunman opened fire on them from an apartment in a high-rise about 200 metres away.
Abshir Abdirashid, 19, was charged with attempted murder.
