I don't think "most people of the Jewish persuasion would agree." Anti-Semitism does not belong on the stage.
Today's anti-Semites mask their Jew-hatred with the term anti-Zionism. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. recognized that there is no difference between anti-Semitism and anti-Zionism.
Palestinian supporters have the right to protest Israeli policies and actions, such as the Gaza incursion. But when these protests result in shouts of "Jews to the ovens" as they did in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, the anti-Zionist mask is ripped away.
Personally I have always held the position that I want to be able to personally judge who is a "hate monger" and who is just a shit disturber and denying them that opportunity just drives them "underground." I think our lives would be very peaceful if we muzzle people's right to utter their "anti"
sntiments.
