Summer?

Not What I Wanted
Posted 9/4/2009 1:00:00 AM

The good news is we get an extra week of summer because Labour Day is late this year.

The bad news is that we didn’t have any summer to start with.

Literally, you could count the really nice days this summer on the fingers of one hand. Sure, there were sunny days, but they were cool. There were hot days, but they often were grey or stormy. Nor did we have any spells of good weather. It was one decent day then four bad ones.

Summer, such as it’s been, still has a couple of weeks to run. But for all intents and purposes, it ends on Labour Day. Back to school. Back to full day Fridays. Back to business now that everybody is back from vacation.

There’s a certain irony that while the polar ice caps are melting, new ones seem to be forming on Lake Muskoka and Georgian Bay.

My own summer stats... Bar-b-ques: 2 Eat out on the deck: 1 Sleep with the electric blanket: 4 Swims: 0.

Well... fall can be nice...

And, temperature wise, we’ve had a lot of practice for it!

About Me

My photo
I lean to the right but I still have a heart and if I have a mission it is to respond to attacks on people not available to protect themselves and to point out the hypocrisy of the left at every opportunity.MY MAJOR GOAL IS HIGHLIGHT THE HYPOCRISY AND STUPIDITY OF THE LEFTISTS ON TORONTO CITY COUNCIL. Last word: In the final analysis this blog is a relief valve for my rants/raves.
