....I am a firm advocate of "recall" elections and in this technological age it could be done in a simple and timely fashion. If nothing else it would put councilors on notice. The next step would be to put senior bureaucrats under the microscope.

What's with all the silly talk about David Miller as lame-duck mayor? Apparently some city councillors want him gone earlier rather than later. It's as if the mayor's decision not to seek re-election next year somehow exposes the city to hardships or dangers.
