Have you gone green between the sheets?
Virtually every aspect of the average person’s life can have some environmental impact. With more environmental awareness, we’ve begun to recognize that our driving habits create emissions, we generate waste through day-to-day living in our homes, and we abuse energy sources by using inefficient appliances. Most of us are trying to make small changes to reduce our environmental impact in these areas. But, there is one aspect of life that few have even considered as having environmental repercussions: sex.
The use of condoms, one of the most popular birth control methods in North America, is wasteful. Latex is not biodegradable, and after every sexual activity these items end up in landfills. Sex toys that are battery operated and non-biodegradable lotions and enhancement products have similar repercussions.
A new book is soon to be released in order to help people make greener choices between the sheets, but that doesn’t mean that it’s too soon to start exploring the eco-friendly alternatives that offer the same safety and enjoyment without the ecological toll.
