Ignatieff reiterates Liberals' stance on Israel

Mr. Ignatieff said comments made by a Toronto Liberal candidate in a blog post last week to the effect that Canada shouldn’t be afraid to criticize Israel, caught him “by surprise”

...when are Canadian politicians going to stand up and talk about China, human right abuses, environmental issuesd, etc.;

Forty years to the day Pierre Trudeau’s Liberal government established diplomatic relations with China, the Stephen Harper declared that “the strategic partnership between Canada and China has never been more promising”

...I am sorry Stephen but when you take about "strategic partnership" it makes me think if this same rationale wasn't presented by the slave traders and slave owners in the cotton fields.
