I commend this York University student for expressing his interest in joining the Canadian Military so I have to ask what happened when he went to a recruiting station and asked for information about joining up. Also I have to ask him about his expectations....is it his expectation that he will join and become one of the grunts that go through basic training and ends up in the trenches or does he expect to hold specialist status which will negate the need for him to go with the program other new recruits do.

Actually I NEVER went to any recruiting station nor have i EVER applied to be part of the military. Take another look at the article and look at what it reallly is about, Rick put some twist on it, but nowhere in the article does it say that I PERSONALY have tried joining the army. The article is about DND recruitment in minority communities such as the Afghan community.
