I just heard within the last hour that the casinos in Niagara Falls and Windsor will be allowed designated smoking areas. I don't disagree with change BUT would this qualify as a fiberal broken promise. How long will it be before other casinos in Ontario are given the same exemption? What group will be next....bingo halls? I am sure the only group who will have to battle for the exemption will be Legion Halls.

Ontario has passed new legislation the provincial government boasts represents the toughest anti-smoking law in North America.
The provincial legislature passed the Smoke-Free Ontario Act by a vote of 71 to 6 on Wednesday, paving the way for a blanket ban on smoking in all indoor public and workplaces to start in June, 2006.
And, by June, 2008, the legislation demands retailers remove their so-called cigarette 'power walls' and replace them with a new display that puts them out of sight of minors.
"I'm very proud of this legislation," Premier Dalton McGuinty told reporters. "We're taking a strong stand against tobacco, and by so doing, standing up for the health of Ontarians."
$$$$ go before pride.....
