Why Do I Have To Become A Surrogate Parent

Way too much of time and effort is being expended on a small group that don't seem to be able to cut it which takes valuable resources away from the vast majority who are making it. I have said it before....I will pay to teach them to read, write and do basic math but if you want to instill your cultural and ethnic values do it on your own dime. Ignite the change in the homes, churches, cultural centers, etc. not in publicly funded schools

The concept of black-focused schools has resurfaced and precipitated controversy. But what should be done when platitudes have failed to produce greater ownership of the education continuum in the minds of the black community – and, especially, the children?

Children do not ask to be born. However, once delivered into this imperfect world, it is their birthright to expect enlightened adult stewardship.If one or both parents are unable or unwilling to assume a leadership role, it is up to the rest of us to assume it collectively.
