The Canadian government is concerned about the humanitarian crisis Tamils face in Sri Lanka but officials are not prepared to meet with anyone who might represent the terrorist group Tamil Tigers, a cabinet minister said Tuesday.

Last month, more than 30,000 Canadians of Tamil origin staged a peaceful rally on Parliament Hill to call upon Canada to intervene in Sri Lanka's continuing civil war. The Liberals, mindful of past occasions when a few of their MPs caused controversy by aligning themselves with the Tamil Tigers terrorist group, stepped very carefully. After two weeks of smaller demonstrations, an expression of support was offered only after flags associated with the Tigers were removed from the larger protest. Even then, neither Michael Ignatieff nor any members of his caucus addressed the demonstration; the Liberal Leader only met privately with a few moderate members of the Tamil community. MORE

We all know, the the reasons why he was called that, have now become reasons to call Harper, Iggy, the Afghan president, the US, and just about everyone else now, Taliban [fill in blank].
