Is Voting For Mayor A Conflict Of Interest For Unionists?

Two essential questions

Opponents of Toronto Mayor David Miller have piled on to the city's generous agreement with its workers, but their solutions for next time are either naive (make all striking workers essential) or unrealistic (immediately privatize garbage collection). A viable aspirant to Mr. Miller's chair cannot merely oppose the deal. Rather, the public needs to see a framework for managing city services generally, if the lessons of the futile summer strike are to be learned and bloodlust for retribution satiated. The framework ought to answer two questions:
