Matt Gurney: The BBC shines on Rwanda’s police state

Rwanda's President Paul Kagame greets supporters at the launch of his re-election campaign on July 20 at a rally in the capital Kigali. Kagame said he was confident of re-election on August 9 as he kicked off a campaign already tarnished by a string of political assassinations and arrests.
Not sure it was worth the price, but, you take what you can get, I suppose. And, indeed, the BBC report is not the first to mention this, Rwanda is well known for its efforts to rebuild itself as a modern, progressive country in the aftermath of the slaughter of 1994.
