Since we regularly crap all over the Toronto Star here at Full Comment, it’s only fair to give them credit when due.
Here are some excerpts from the Star’s Tuesday editorial. It’s noteworthy for a couple of reasons:
1. The argument in the editorial is the complete opposite of what the headline (“Echo of Rae’s social contract”) suggests.
2. The Star, against all expectations, criticizes unions and public servants for arbitrarily opposing a freeze on wages.
