So, I take a week off to play golf and ...whammo! It rained, was cold and not much golf was played. Not many votes were cast either. Listening to CJOB's election coverage I had three things reaffirmed. First, I work with the best people in radio in Canada. Second, the people of Manitoba don't seem to much care about their future. With only a 56% voter turnout we see that at least 44% of the voters in this province couldn't be bothered going to the polls to decide their future. Mediocrity will reign supreme for another four years. Trouble is, while we're marching in place, the rest of the country is moving past us. And the third thing I learned? Don't take that week of the May long week-end off thinking you're going to play golf in Manitoba.
