And send best wishes to Andy.....it will help build community relationships.
A new police constable is on the streets of Saugeen Shores this year.
Constable Andy Evans joined the service January 3, and says his first taste of the area is a good one.
“It’s a change from what I’m used to – a good change,” said Evans.
Previously Evans spent four years as a part of the Toronto force, and a year and half in Owen Sound as a special constable.
Evans said he is most looking forward to getting out and meeting the community.
“I think it’s important for police in small towns to be a contributing member of the community both on and off duty,” said Evans.
Police chief Dan Rivett said the experience and local ties that Evans brings to the position will be of benefit to the Saugeen Shores police service.
