RV Campground Proposal Receives Support

More tourist $$$$ and transitional housing? This is a win-win proposal but based on city council's leftist attitude towards anything progressive I doubt whether you will see much support.....there is no way city unions, social in-activists, environuts, etc. can get a piece of the action so it is a no go.

And you thought finding a downtown parking spot was difficult. Try setting down in Toronto with a recreational vehicle or trailer.

RV enthusiasts say there's only one small park with the required facilities -- on the outskirts of Scarborough --eliminating a large pool of tourists to the city.

"You're losing out on a huge tourism contingent. People who bring a motor home won't come to Toronto," said Larry Boyd, executive director of the Ontario Recreation Vehicle Dealers Association, which hosts the four-day Toronto RV Show and Extravaganza starting today at the Toronto Congress Centre.

City Councillor Case Ootes has called for a plan to boost RV tourism to Toronto.
