What More Do You Want From TV

We have the Discovery Channel and PBS for the psuedo-intelligencia, Dr. Phil for those looking for dysfunctional families worse than their own, "reality" shows for those with a reason I can't fathom and the list goes on and on but now we have another show (along with Corner Gas, Red Green & the Comedy Network) for those of us who just want to have a few laughs and looking for a diversion from blogging.......

Little Mosque is gloriously Canadian

JOHN DOYLE

From Tuesday's Globe and Mail

Today, we celebrate a triumph. What arrives tonight on CBC is the smartest thing the broadcaster has done in years.Little Mosque on the Prairie (CBC, 8:30 p.m.) is no masterpiece of comedy or social observation. It's hokey as hell. But it's terrifically good-natured, has a few terrific jokes and its mere existence is a grand-slam assertion that Canadian TV is different and that the best of Canadian TV amounts to a rejection of the hegemony of U.S. network TV.

About Me

My photo
I lean to the right but I still have a heart and if I have a mission it is to respond to attacks on people not available to protect themselves and to point out the hypocrisy of the left at every opportunity.MY MAJOR GOAL IS HIGHLIGHT THE HYPOCRISY AND STUPIDITY OF THE LEFTISTS ON TORONTO CITY COUNCIL. Last word: In the final analysis this blog is a relief valve for my rants/raves.
