The deserters chose to join the military.....Bush was elected and even though he is the Commander In Chief he is still responsible to two elected bodies.

George W. Bush, who initiated the illegal invasion of Iraq and sanctioned torture, is being allowed into Canada to speak at Metro Hall on May 29. Meanwhile, U.S. soldiers who fled to Canada rather than participate in Bush's illegal acts are being to deported to the U.S. where they are imprisoned. If sentenced as felons, they will have a criminal record that will present real difficulties in obtaining employment. In 15 states they will be unable to vote and they will be refused re-entry to Canada. What is wrong with this picture?
