If Not Being Used For Merchandising Why Not Allow


It would appear the only thing athletes can do is create a venue where the Olympics can profit.

IOC lays out new rules for athlete blogs

VANCOUVER - Olympic athletes blogging during the 2010 Games won't be allowed to use the iconic Olympic rings on their web pages.

The rule is part of a new set of blogging guidelines issued by the International Olympic Committee in the wake of the popular experiment to officially allow the online diaries during the 2008 Summer Games in Beijing.
