Here's Michael Ignatieff Wednesday responding to the release of new Conservative attack ads:
"On a day when we have record bankruptcies, we have got unemployment skyrocketing, all this government can think of doing is running attack ads on me. This is the old style of politics... This government needs to grow up and do its job properly."
Old style of politics. Grow up and do its job properly.
Today, thanks to David Akin, we have this letter sent by the Liberal Party to its members:
- John Mraz: Conservatives' poopin puffin may miss the target this time

The Harper Conservative attack machine is back in high gear. Well financed, staffed and organized, this week’s launch of an anti-Ignatieff website with twee ads to match is the latest salvo from the folks that dropped poop on Dion’s head. Except this time, it might be harder to land a turd.
In the early George W. Bush era, much was made by Democrats (unfortunately to no avail) about Dubya’s apparent lack of curiosity to all things non-American. More was made about his lack of apparent ambition during his younger years. And still more was made about his predilection to govern by fear. Prescient, eh? Years later, Bush’s legacy is fully informed by those failures, and President Obama sure has his work cut out for him.
