Social-In-Activits Get First Kick At $$$ Can

EXPAND THE PROGRAM Re "Second chance is a success" (Ted Woloshyn, May 9): No doubt about it, this a great program, and I think everyone would support it. However, why should a young person have to be a "young offender" to qualify? What about all those kids who obey the law and keep out of trouble, but also come from poor families? Should they deliberately break the law so they can be rehabilitated too, free of charge?

(Of course not, and you raise an excellent point -- let's help the kids who stay on the straight-and-narrow, too)
