In Fairness To The BC Liberal Party......

.......you would have to understand why so many BC voters own swamp land in Florida. Is it possible it is because they believe in political rhetoric and promises? But in fairness Ontario voters are just as gullible.....they voted for change promised by Dullton McGoonty.

Raphael Alexander: You have to hand it to the B.C. Liberals

They know exactly how to deal with the voting population of British Columbia. When pressured during the May election campaign on questions about the Recognition and Reconciliation Act, B.C. Rail scandal, or the dubious budget estimates, the Liberals either gave vague and meaningless answers, or ducked them altogether. And they’re certainly a shrewd and experienced governing party as well. They knew the campaign was not the time to talk about actual policies they had plans to implement. Better to simply run on some vague anti-recession platform, and then implement whatever they liked after the election. There are many political parties that could learn from the B.C. Liberals.

After all, how do you explain the fact that the Liberals said absolutely nothing about the HST (Harmonized Sales Tax of the PST and GST) prior to the election, and are now implementing it directly after? It beggars belief to think that the Liberals suddenly changed their minds after the election, or that the federal government made an offer too good to refuse. In fact the Liberals directly denied any admissions that tax changes might be coming our way, which makes this sudden change pretty much a broken election promise:
