Yellow Dogs, Blue Dogs and Obama's healthcare plans

If you've been following the Obama administration's health reform efforts you've probably come across a reference to the "Blue Dog" Democrats.

The Blue Dogs (They have their own website) are conservative Democrats who are trying to force some sense on Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Henry Waxman and the crazy lefties who dominate the party and are busy destroying any hope of success for the Presidents plan by ensuring it is so outrageously instrusive and expensive it won't have a hope of seeing the light of day. Between them, the Blue Dogs and the Republicans have enough influence to slow, if not completely halt, the efforts of Pelosi et al to push the whole issue over a cliff.
