Letter To Editor Makes Sense...

Re:Miller blames province for parking ticket losses, Feb. 6

Never mind Mayor David Miller's request to Premier Dalton McGuinty about parking tags. If he wants to ask the Premier for anything, I suggest he ask for revisions in municipal government. There should be a return to three-year terms for all elected municipal positions. And, more importantly, there should be a maximum of two terms only. This would ensure that there would be a turn over in city council and perhaps bring in some new ideas.
Obviously the screams from city hall will be heard all the way up to Queen's Park. But this is within the authority of the Premier's office.
I can understand the lack of response from the Premier to Miller's request. Miller is a lame duck.
