Numbers that jump out at you (that ought not to)
Hey, how can any conservative blogger go long without posting something that touches on race and is guaranteed to label him a racist? Time for me to dive in on a number I saw this week that, in a politically correct world, should not seem as significant as it does. In a major poll done by CBS News, Americans were asked the following:
How have Barack Obama's economic programs affected you personally?
The result has not changed since May when a similar poll was run. Only 13% of Americans think that Barack Obama's economic programs have helped them personally.
That's an interesting number, because 12% of Americans are African-American.
Funny that. Makes you wonder if Obama's economic programs are awful (just helping 13% of Americans) or just very specific (designed to help a particular 13% of Americans).
Or it would make you wonder that if you were the sort of person who is fixated on race issues, which, of course, I am not.
