If provincial throne speeches and budgets set out the immediate priorities of the government of the day, the election platforms and fiscal plans of Ontario's three major political parties tell voters what the parties intend to do over the next four years and, just as important, how they intend to pay for their programs.
Although the campaign does not officially start until tomorrow, both the Liberals and Conservatives have released their platform documents, including a breakdown of the costs of promises and the details of how they will pay for them. The NDP has yet to release its plan.
So, how credible are the two plans?

personally, I'll be making my choice based on what the incumbent party actually did, and how they performed. All parties make all kinds of promises, we see how many broken promises Harper has, so if we based our election choices just on that alone, you might as well choose on the ballot sheet blind folded.
If I think another party will do better, I will make that choice not purely based on their promises.
I'll leave that for the sheep.
