If You Are Taking Insulin I Support Clean Needle Iniatives BUT...

Adrian MacNair: It's your fault if I use this needle

One of the laws of unintended consequences of well-meant social programs is the opportunity they provide for shifting blame and diminishing individual responsibility. Take the drug addicts in the downtown east side of Vancouver, for a prime example. Their wanton drug abuse is their own fault, committed by their own hand, yet they demand the right to a safe injection site that will protect the transmission of deadly disease from another needle. Does anyone else find it contradictory that people destroying themselves by shooting themselves with heroin, would be concerned about their health? It’s sort of like going to the emergency ward and bashing your own skull with a hammer so you can be stitched up under medically supervised circumstances.

About Me

My photo
I lean to the right but I still have a heart and if I have a mission it is to respond to attacks on people not available to protect themselves and to point out the hypocrisy of the left at every opportunity.MY MAJOR GOAL IS HIGHLIGHT THE HYPOCRISY AND STUPIDITY OF THE LEFTISTS ON TORONTO CITY COUNCIL. Last word: In the final analysis this blog is a relief valve for my rants/raves.
