What Is The Criteria For Year Of The Gun

Stats say gun violence is down, the police chief says gun violence is down and the mayor is quiet on gun violence and it is confusing when almost daily you hear or read articles like.....

No one hurt and no arrests as bullets fly
The Yonge St. rush-hour crowd ducked for cover last night as a gunman opened fire at a group of men just blocks from where Jane Creba was gunned down last year.

.....and while I know this is just part of the fabric of big city life and I personally don't feel threatened I would like to know just what is happening with all those who were arrested last year during high profile raids....how many have actually been charged, how many have actually come to trial, how many have been sent to jail, how many are out on the street on bail, etc. etc.

It is obvious from the following article that the law is some kind of joke to the criminals:
