But employees of any school board are not eligible for trustee seats, according to a Nov. 15 memo from the labour relations branch of the Ministry of Education. It says that any board employee who wins an election must either quit the teaching job or disclaim the school board seat.
She is a teaching assistant so we have to believe that she can read and comprehend the written word but in all fairness her union affiliation probably doesn't make her any more biased than the biases the other board members bring to the the table.
I don't know why school boards are such a contenious entity...
