Sorry Steve...But I Won't Be Taking To The Streets

Canadian "denier" threatened with death -- and it is not reported in Canadian news

I don't doubt that this might have happened but email threats need some substance; ie: reported to police and investigated by police forensic people might lend some credence.

A Canadian scientist questions the science of climate change, and he begins receiving death threats.

I read about it in a British newspaper. Isn't this newsworthy in Canada?

Scientists who questioned mankind's impact on climate change have received death threats and claim to have been shunned by the scientific community.

They say the debate on global warming has been "hijacked" by a powerful alliance of politicians, scientists and environmentalists who have stifled all questioning about the true environmental impact of carbon dioxide emissions.

Timothy Ball, a former climatology professor at the University of Winnipeg in Canada, has received five deaths threats by email since raising concerns about the degree to which man was affecting climate change.

One of the emails warned that, if he continued to speak out, he would not live to see further global warming.

I just did a scan of Google News, and no Canadian news source is carrying this story.

Neither of our news aggregators, Bourque or National Newswatch, have linked this story.

Certainly nothing is appearing at the major news websites -- CBC, CTV, and so on.

If you don't shine a light on this sort of thing, it continues and festers. I'll do my part, but this blog reaches only so many people.
