Walking The Talk

There is some question whether the city is doing so when it comes to worker safety. A couple of months age questions arose about the city's compliance with the OHSA and now we see the consequences......I am sure some might say that the fault lies with bureaucrats but the fish always stinks at the head.

City fined for building inspector's death

The City of Toronto has been fined $175,000 for failing to properly train municipal employees in the 2003 case of a building inspector who was killed after he fell through the floor of a partially complete home.

The inspector had reportedly been on the job for less than three weeks in late Sept. 2003, when he fell through an uncovered hole on the first floor of the home.
