Let's make it clear I don't think I will be visiting an goth coffee houses, probably won't be inviting any goths to a bar-b-que (although one of my friends daughter is into the dress/hair style, etc.) and I wouldn't have any problem if Kimveer Gill was to meet an untimely death but this uproar about the goths trying to improve their image is ludicrous. Are we condemning a group because of the actions of a few "sick" individuals? I am sure each of you can recall when similar situations took place and the final results. Come on people....charities, particularly childrens hospitals accept donations from groups like the Hell's Angels who are a criminal organization and wasn't there an incident a few months ago where a group of bikers were murdered. Come on Michele get real....... |

Stay home, you freaks!
It’s a match made in hell.
They are the members of the website that hosted the Montreal killer, the users who stood by and did nothing as Kimveer Gill boasted of his love of guns and murder.
Now vampirefreaks.com wants to improve their blood-soaked image — by hooking up with sick children.
Yes, as unbelievable as it sounds, a London, Ont.-based member of the goth website is advising his fellow vampire freaks to don their black trenchcoats and head out next month to march in their local Children’s Wish parade.
“Every time something like this happens the press seems to try to link it with either this site or the gothic community in general,” writes thevampiresfamiliar. (All postings are as they appear online.) “So mainstream society only see this site or the gothic community from one side… a negative image deliberately portrayed by the press to bolster their ratings.
“With the latest incident in Montreal the press has added a new spin… it’s suggesting that maybe it would be a good idea to have the government step in and ban this site from being available to Canadians on Canadian owned and operated ISP’s…. if this every happens it will be the beginning of the end to this site and others like it.”
As a preemptive strike, he suggests turning to charity: “Do something that the press can’t possible portray in a negative light,” he posts on a recent forum. “It has been brought to my attention that in Canada on Saturday October 14/2006 the Children’s Wish Foundation will be hosting parades open to public participation in over 1000 communities.”
