By ZEN RURYK
Canada's Walk of Fame is getting a new home.
Councillors yesterday approved a plan to use Metro Square, located between Metro Hall and Roy Thompson Hall, for the Walk of Fame.
Created in 1998, it has seen101 Canadian celebrities having their names cemented along King St., in Toronto's entertainment district.
Peter Soumalias, CEO of Canada's Walk of Fame, said yesterday that depending on the success of fundraising efforts, the final cost of the project could be $5 million.
The city is to pick up half the tab.
