The setup!....the pitch?......the followthrough?

I laughed when I heard this on the radio this morning.

Miller wants piece of sales tax

"A coalition of mayors acaross Canada is pushing for the move, he said, and they'll keep up the pressure on politicians through next year's provincial election in Ontario, and the next federal election, whenever it comes.
Miller also wants Ottawa to support a national transit strategy, and wants the federal and provincial governments to relieve cities of the burden of paying for social service programs."

This is nothing but a lame setup for 4 years from now when the next challenger to NDP Mayor David Miller brings up the fact that he has been completely ineffective for yet another term in office. All his Blondness has to say is "it is the Federal Government's fault".

He did ask after all.

Give me a break.
