Come on Comrade Miller....let's start dealing with the ineffectiveness of your puppets on council and union buddies. Do you really think people who are taxed to poverty levels are being conned by your smoke and mirror antics. Forget the cake...I would rather be able to buy a loaf of bread.
Miller announces return of Nuit Blanche
May 10, 2007

It's official. Nuit Blanche, Toronto's bubbly all-night-long celebration of the arts, will be back for a second year – thanks to Scotiabank, which will be back as title sponsor. The date: Saturday, Sept. 29. The full name: Scotiabank Nuit Blanche.
In making the announcement Thursday, Mayor David Miller crowed: "Many people came up to me last year and said 'This is the greatest thing that's ever happened to Toronto. You have to do it again. So right then and there, I committed to doing it again."
Councillor Kyle Rae, chair of the city of Toronto's economic development committee, added: "Toronto was transformed by artists for one very magical night. Toronto's response to the first Scotiabank Nuit Blanche was beyond anything we had anticipated."
Despite heavy rain and fog, 425,000 people turned out for the first Nuit Blanche, featuring free events highlighting contemporary art from dusk to dawn in three zones – Bloor/Yorkville; Grange/Chinatown; and Queen West.
The idea originated in Paris in 2002. Toronto is one of several cities that has followed the lead of the French capital, using the same day of the year. The budget for the Toronto version is about $1,000,000.
