There is no question action needs to be taken against private slum lords but you need to get off your ass and do something about St. James Towne. This has been a problem for years and is just getting worse. You have brought tow truck drivers, exotic dancers, cab drivers, etc. into line so before you spend a lot of effort licencing private landlords clean up the mess at St. James Towne. Just a reminder....

My friend M. said he'd show me around his building in St. James Town in the wake of the pigeon fiasco.
How quickly you forget:
There was a fellow in St. James Town who, for ages and beyond all reason, kept scores of pigeons in his apartment. The birdman was busted recently, but the results of his fancy were disgusting and ankle-deep.
Why this situation was allowed to develop as it did remains a puzzlement to me, nor can I explain why the cops were the ones to take charge.
Oh, St. James Town.
