Thanks for finally proving what we all know.

You and your gang of crazies are completely and totally out to lunch.

I trust you'll be investigating why you didn't spend as much as the councilor who spent more than you did?

Anyway, your crowd have done in 2 days what I couldn't achieve in months. Trying to open peoples eyes to the fact that not only are you guys completely and totally out of touch, incompetent, and running wild. But you're also crazier than a bunch of shit house rats.

Hope this backfires as it should.

Ig.

(Councillor Mammoliti did reply immediately with:

"Tunnel vision is a horrible thing isn't it?
Giorgio"

It sure is !!!

These councillors don't spend enough
Toronto City Council's two most notorious tightwads should have their office expenses probed to see if they're improperly spending their own, or someone else's, money to cover expenses, says the city's executive committee.

The committee voted unanimously to ask the city's auditor general and council's integrity commissioner to examine the expenses of Councillors Rob Ford (Ward 2, Etobicoke North) and Doug Holyday (Ward 3, Etobicoke Centre).

Councillors receive an expense allowance of $53,100 a year to send out letters, rent office space in their constituencies or otherwise run their offices.

Ford reported spending zero in 2006; Holyday says he spent $1,471. Both are known to lecture other councillors for wasting taxpayers' money.

Led by Councillor Giorgio Mammoliti (Ward 7, York West), councillors on the executive committee struck back at the frugal duo.

Mammoliti said it's clear from letters sent out by the councillors on their own letterhead that they're ordering stationery, and under council policy they should be paying for that from their office budget.

Yet the expenses aren't being reported, he said. Either they are paying for their office expenses from their own pockets or someone else is paying it for them, Mammoliti said. Either way, he said, it goes against council's code of conduct.

Ford said there's no mystery about who is paying for his stationery: He is.

He said Mammoliti is wasting the committee's time with what seems to be an obsession about how Ford does his job. "I don't know why he hates me so much. I wish he would move on, and stop worrying his whole life about what Rob Ford does."

Councillor Howard Moscoe (Ward 15, Eglinton-Lawrence) agreed that Ford should be charging expenses. "There's a constant stream of printed material out of Councillor Ford's office, and it's completely against the bylaw to go to private sources to do that," he said.

Mammoliti has feuded with Holyday over Holyday's frequent use of space at Etobicoke City Hall. Mammoliti says Holyday uses the space as his constituency offices, but doesn't pay rent for it as he ought to.

In a letter to the executive committee, Holyday – who was out of town yesterday – says he's not required to pay for the space and would be "pleased" to have the integrity commissioner rule on the issue.
