....the left will start coming up with rationale to put the perps in a favourable light. They had a rotton childhood, society didn't give them a fair share, the school system was too hard on them, etc. etc.
Oh, Canada...
In Alberta, supposedly the most conservative province in this bastion of apathy, the security of a man and his home is no longer sacred...
A home invasion took a deadly twist yesterday, leaving one of two bandits dead and a suspect in critical condition from serious stab wounds.
And murder charges could be pending against the 35-year-old man renting the acreage home, who, along with his girlfriend, was jarred awake at 3:30 a.m. when the two men burst into the bedroom after forcibly entering the residence through a side door.
And once again, the Canadian justice system affords more consideration to the perpetrators of a violent home invasion, than it does to the unsuspecting victims of this crime.
Canada's Criminal Code authorizes people to use the amount of force necessary to protect themselves and their property.
However, the law stresses such force should not be used to cause death or grievous bodily harm.
I'll say this; if I am awakened at 3:30 in the morning, by a couple of ill-intentioned losers, with or without guns, I'm taking any weapon to hand and I'm not stopping until one of us is down -- whatever it takes. Because in the middle of a melee, the thugs who break into your house aren't just going to stand by and wait while you call the cops for help. And anyone who thinks that this type of situation will afford them the opportunity to make a sound judgment on the requisite amount of force required to simply stave off an attacker, is merely signing themselves up to be the first body hauled out of their own house, in a coroner's bag.
