When a cockroach infestation temporarily drove him out of his New York City apartment, Mark Malkoff knew what to do.
Staying in a hotel would have strained his budget, and his friends' places were too small to accommodate a couch-surfer. So the comedian rang up an IKEA store in New Jersey and asked if he could crash there this week. Remarkably, the Swedish furniture store agreed.
Malkoff already has encountered a few hitches in the model suite, including customers who saunter through his bedroom.
But the upside is that Malkoff's temporary digs are far more spacious than his apartment, which is being fumigated. Proving once again that the Swedes really do have a solution for everything.
