T.O.'s house of horror Leftovers and a dead pigeon found in vacant city property |

The city's community housing agency acted swiftly yesterday to evict a dead pigeon from one of their vacant homes after the
Sun began investigating a derelict property in the east end.
According to neighbours, the semi-detached, two-storey brick house -- located at 114 Kingsmount Park Rd., just west of Gerrard St. E. and Woodbine Ave. -- has been empty since last May.
In the fridge, as recently as yesterday, were bloated cartons of eight-month-old coffee cream and mouldy left-overs.
In the living room, a pigeon lay dead in a pile of rodent poison, while garbage, clothing and assorted junk was strewn about the house.
"Here at Toronto Community Housing, we have a clear policy that when buildings are vacant, that we're to inspect them regularly to ensure they are secured and in good repair. In this case, that didn't happen," said Jeff Ferrier, a spokesman for the city-owned corporation.
