One Of Miller's First Acts As Mayor......

....aided by his left wing stooges on council was to cancel the private hauler contract in the old city of York.

Toronto's surrounding municipalities that contract out garbage collection pay less than Toronto for the service and avoid strikes.

'A shame' city didn't go private

The prospect of establishing a temporary dump at Exhibition Place is just one more reason city politicians should have held their noses and contracted out trash pickup ages ago, one councillor says.

Actually they don't pay less for garbage collection.

Tweety bird Levy tried that one and after emailing her and nailing her she actually admitted her error. I could try to dig up the email it was back in the last strike.

However, privatization would solve the strike issue, so if it costs the same then why not.
