Or whatever they are called on your own stomping grounds. Do you support them all the time or only when they are fighting for something you believe in? The are an enigma!
ACLU Finds Racism in Crack Cocaine Law
Blacks are big users of crack cocaine and blacks often get locked up for dealing it. And because black people get locked up a lot for breaking the law concerned, then the law must be racist? Right? The ACLU certainly thinks so.
The same sort of deliberately blind Leftists who once could not see that the old Soviet Union was a brutal and impoverishing tyranny are now determined not to see that blacks DO commit a lot more crime than whites so they SHOULD be locked up more. STACLU has the details.
Underlying the ACLU stance seems to be a complete disrespect for blacks. Blacks are treated as poor things who cannot help breaking the law rather than as responsible adults who know what choices they are making. It is the ACLU that is racist.

Well. There's nothing like giving some simple minded people just a little bit of information, so that they can off ranting and raving about something so that they can feel better about themselves, and pat themselves on the back for standing up for the black man to boot. Yes, they cry, we all deserve some respect. However, it's too bad these good hearted people, never thought to actually read about the issue, and see what the aclu was talking about, what the real issue is. You can find it here http://www.aclu.org/drugpolicy/gen/27194prs20061026.html
If you do even just a little reading, you might find a wee little gem, that refers to the disparity between the sentence for having say, 5 grams of crack, and well 500 grams of cocaine. There isn't one! Imagine that! A drug used primarily by the black community, 5 grams will get you a minimum sentence, of 5 years in club fed! What a go for 40 bucks eh? While a the same drug except in it's more expensive powdered form used by rich white guys, you'd have to be caught with around $70,000 of it to get that sentence! Imagine that? Now that is some dis.... respect!
