Did They Pass A Law That Anyone Is Forced Into Politics

Stronach really needs to get a life. First of all there is an old saying that you should never crap where you eat and her relationship with MacKay falls into that category. Second of all does she think that deserting her party and voters would endear her to the remaining members of the party or to MacKay. As far as the remark by Klein a caller to a radio show this morning said of Klein; "When you ask him a question he doesn't give you a political answer he gives the answer to your question." and you have to accept Klein with all his warts. I am surprised that Stronach even got the remark....she seems to want come across as a sophisticated and civil person. If she wants respect she is going to have earn it.

Stronach blasts Klein over 'bone' remark

MONTREAL -- Belinda Stronach says a comment by Alberta Premier Ralph Klein about her affair with Peter MacKay is exactly the kind of remark that puts women off entering politics.

Speaking at a charity roast in Calgary earlier this week, Klein said the Liberal MP had only ever had one Conservative bone in her body.

After getting some laughs, Klein immediately brought up MacKay's name.

Stronach says many women she speaks to shy away from getting into politics because it's so "rough and nasty.''

The Liberal MP, who was called a "dog'' and a "bitch'' after she dumped MacKay, says people in public life must show more civility and respect.

Stronach was speaking to reporters at a conference in Montreal on global poverty.
