Senate Hands Back A Shredded Accountability Act
To House Of CommonsThe Conservative Party's accountability act went through the liberal dominated Senate and was handed back to the house of commons in good decimated form, with more than 100 amendments. The act that was supposed to be wrapped up and delivered by Thanksgiving, now faces political death.
A Canadian Press report says,"The government's key ethics bill, the federal accountability act, is now at risk of dying in a legislative game of ping-pong between the House of Commons and the Senate.

jeez. The 'right' really knows how to tell a story, without telling, anything. Shredded how? How about the fact that the conservative 'ethics' didn't include many of Gomery's recommendations? How about the fact that it has been written about how watered down, full of holes this act is?
As for entitlements, the conservatives already got their entitlements when they were able to take advantage of higher donation limits on their conventions, and it's just plan politicking to try and pass this before the liberal convention and then point a finger at them if they complain. What a bunch of bull crap.
Thankfully, according to the new decima poll, the tories have lost ground instead of gaining it like they were supposed to have outside of Alberta. So much for being a 'national party'. We can see now where their real support, and agenda really lies. And Ontarians like the ones blogging in support of Harper just love to bend over and let it all happen for the good of Alberta and it's oil industry. Enjoy!
It is obvious you are a product of the 13 years of liberal largesse and and propoganda. Keep in mind that Harper has a minority government and without the support of the liberals, ndp and bloc he can not be truly effective and even if he does something worthwhile he has to get it past those liberal dinosaurs in the senate. Keep in mind also that much of the woes being suffered by the provinces and cities is because of Martin's cut and burn policies when he was finance minister and while it is true there is a large surplus I doubt it is big enough to look after all the damage Martin caused by short changing the province's transfer funds. If you don't fix a problem when it occurs it is going to cost much more in the long run.
