Hmm! I Didn't Know That But A Question For Dalton

Why wasn't this an issue when Martin's Mauraders were in Ottawa?

Feds blowing smoke

Premier Dalton McGuinty wants the federal government to close smoking rooms at the CBC and other federal buildings in Ontario.

Federal buildings, including the CBC's facilities, are the only ones in Ontario to be exempt from the province's smoking ban that applies to all other workplaces.

McGuinty said yesterdays he'd like the federal Conservative government to give this issue a re-think. He said allowing smoking in federal buildings is a loophole that the Conservatives should close.

McGuinty said the two levels of government should be working together to ensure all workplaces are safe from the dangers of second-hand cigarette smoke. He said he's asked Public Health Promotion Minister Jim Watson to keep working with Ottawa to "enlighten them" on the smoking ban in Ontario.
