Efficency At Toronto City Hall

Should I ask for back pay?

I finally realized something is definitely wrong at City Hall. Last week, during the rehearsal for the CNE Air Show, I received a voice mail from an irate resident who recently moved into the Parkdale area adjacent to the Exhibition grounds.

He lambasted me for holding the Air Show and bringing military planes into the city. He added it was criminal for the planes to make so much noise that he could not concentrate on his project he had brought home to complete. He was so upset that when leaving me his phone number he couldn't remember the last four digits. He phoned back providing me with his number and when I returned his call I asked him how he received my telephone number.

He advised me he had called City Hall that day and they told him I was the general manager of the CNE. I left the Ex in 1975 to become president of the CN Tower. So after 32 years I'm still on their books.

Last word: In the final analysis this blog is a relief valve for my rants/raves.
