yes we know. There is little to gain from actually ensuring whether a new law is constitutional and has a chance of standing up in court, when votes and headlines are really what is important.
So let's continue like the sheep we are, and one side will yell 'right is right!', and the other side will yell 'left is the way!'.
And all the while no one, will discuss nothing but the headlines fed to us by media.
