Both shootings took place in North York within two hours of each other.

A short time later, a 17-year-old girl was shot in the face in her Jane Street and Finch Avenue neighbourhood. Police arrived on the scene just before 7 p.m. They found the girl in the stairwell on the 17th floor of an apartment building on Chalkfarm Drive.
An underage suspect has been taken into custody.
