PM to cities: Drop dead

On the issue of federal funding for municipalities, Dalton McGuinty told reporters that Stephen Harper "is not particularly receptive to that approach." Why did that become PM to cities: Drop dead?

The Star is guilty of hypocrisy and journalistic bias. If the Star and the GTA mayors put as much headline effort into getting McGuinty to actually follow through on his incontrovertible provincial obligation to upload social services, we all may have gotten somewhere by now. Where were these inflammatory headlines when the Ontario election was being held?

The Prime Minister has done a reasonable job by not taking more tax revenue than needed for federal responsibilities. McGuinty also did what he needed to when he broke his election promise with the implementation of the Health Tax. By denouncing the former and upholding the latter, the Star has hypocritically managed to measure fiscal responsibility two different ways.
